Currently I am reading a graphic novel called ‘Watchmen’ by Alan Moore (Yeah..Watchmen the movie is based on this one). Following are some of the best thoughts/comments/dialogues I found in it:
- Things have their shape in time, not space alone. Some marble blocks have statues within them, embedded in their future.
- Why do we argue? Life’s so fragile; a successful virus clinging to a speck of mud, suspended in endless nothing.
- Battle not with monsters/lest ye become a monster/and if you gaze into the abyss/the abyss gazes also into you
- Man, when preparing for a bloody war, will orate loudly and most eloquently in the name of peace.
- Is that what happens to us? A life with no time for friends….so that when it’s done only our enemies leave roses.
